Revue

Designed to be a textual extension of our exhibitions, this online publication with its flexible temporary nature will enable artists and writers to test, using the written word, some of the issues and themes running through the art center’s exhibitions and different projects. The Revue, co-directed by Céline Poulin and Elena Lespes Muñoz, gathers translations of writers (Marina Garces, etc.) and publications of theoretical texts (Camille Back, Émilie Noteris, Laurent de Sutter…)

Publications
  • Inventer l’école, penser la co-création, [Inventing the school, thinking co-creation], is a publication by Marie Preston on alternative pedagogies developed in France during the 1970s-1990s in "open" schools working on the relationship between co-creation and co-education.
  • Co-Creation, a multifaceted publication that is part of a research initiative into co-creation and socially engaged art practices. Begun in 2013, this long-term initiative has been the work of Céline Poulin (the director of CAC Brétigny) and Marie Preston (artist and teacher-researcher at Université Paris 8), along with Stéphanie Airaud (the director of public outreach and cultural initiatives at MAC VAL)
  • Valentine Schlegel: je dors, je travaille (I’m Spleeping, I’m Working),  by Hélène Bertin, “bio-monograph” includes new iconography and archival material. Biographical notes written by Hélène Bertin punctuate the book and provide readers with a clearer picture of both Schlegel and her approach.
L’Ǝcole

L’Ǝcole is a space for discussion and experimentation, for thinking together about the uses of an alternative school of practices and knowledge within the visual arts.
